IN spite of hockey being our national game, one does not see hockey being played in Turbat, which is the second largest city of Balochistan.

Not only in Turbat, it is also not being played in other parts of the province. There is no hockey ground in the city.

Barring cricket and football, there are no grounds for other games. Owing to this, the young generation is playing football and cricket, while hockey has been neglected and is on decline in the province. If it is our national game, why is it being neglected by the government?

On the other hand, cricket is given priority. If this is the case, why not declare cricket our national game?
