MULTAN: Ali Haider Gilani, the son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, reached his hometown Multan on Tuesday for the first time after being freed from captivity.
He was accompanied by his father and other family and party members on the occasion.
Ali Gilani was freed from kidnappers during a dramatic military rescue operation in Afghanistan by US and Afghan security forces. He was later flown to Pakistan where he reunited with his family after three year of captivity.
Hundreds of supporters gathered outside the Gilani residence in Multan to welcome the 30-year-old. Rose petals were showered on the vehicle carrying Ali Haider, who stepped out and waved to supporters.

Congratulations on reaching home safely. Please remember that there are many more missing/abducted people out there and there families are still waiting. Now, that you are free, please act like a Free man and raise your voice to bring back the missing ones.

Good to see ex PM's son has been released from terrorist's captivity. Lets hope that all other missing or kidnapped persons by the terrorist's are recovered soon. It would be nice to hear that all innocent people are released so they can join their grieving relatives before holy month of ramazan and celebrate Eidul fitr with their family. Islam teaches us compassion, forgiveness and justice. A true muslim should stay away from any acts of cruelty.

Nothing is wrong celebrating to a limit. Public need not to make him hero. It will hurt him more in future.

Whatever the celebrations, but kindly do not block Public roads for that purpose. If someone will do it then government must take action and should throw the law breakers behind bars. Celebrations does not give anyone the right to be a menace for general Public.

No one is safe in Pakistan , this is an example where US military freed a ex PMs son, I wonder the fate of a common man with such kidnappers who can travel across borders with their captive so easily .This is beyond human behaviour , this business of kidnapping.

Now that God has blessed Mr. Gilani with the return of his almost lost son, may be the ex-prime minister should show gratitude by returning billions of funds back which he looted back to the people of Pakistan.
