KP U-18 hockey trials held

PESHAWAR: Trials for selection of Khyber Pakht­unkhwa hockey team for the forthcoming National Under-18 Hockey Champio­nship were held at the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium here on Friday.

More than 100 players were assessed by Musad­dique Hussain (chief selector), Ihsanullah, Yasir Islam and Zia-ur-Rehman Binori before shortlisting them for final selection.

Four teams from Punjab, three teams each from Sindh and KP, two from Balochistan and one each from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Fata and Gilgit-Baltistan will be taking part in the championship.
