The multitasking wizard

This is regarding the cover story “The multitasking wizard” by Yasmin Elahi (YW, May 7). It was a meaningful and important article for all the readers of the magazine.

Not everyone can be multitasking, because it is too hard to perform various chores perfectly without making a mess for anything and it is true that a mother does all the chores perfectly and is quite capable of doing things for others.

Mothers also sacrifice for us. We should take great care of them and always support them.

I agree with all the points of Ms Yasmin Elahi in her article “The multitasking wizard”. A mother cares for her family and performs all the tasks without complaining, she never lets anything go undone.

Nobody can be compared to her. She is the one who makes her kids strong and positive.

So we should respect and appreciate what she is doing for us.

Pathetic education system

With much regret, I write here that the Sindh board of examination is not paying attention to the dire condition of education in the rural Sindh.

Most students of SSC/HSc are too careless about studies and never touch their books throughout their academic year and it is only on the examination day when they bring all the material along with them to cheat or copy because they know passing an examination in rural Sindh is as easy as ABC. Smart phones have simply made cheating a piece of cake and no one stops them.

So it is my request to all my fellow students that we are the future of our nation, focus on your education and make yourself a brilliant student.

Also, I would request the education authorities in the rural Sindh, to take notice of students cheating in the exams, don’t pass them for the sake of money.

What about knowledge?

The increasing influence of English has pushed knowledge in a corner. Today, we are just concerned about building better speaking skills and rarely do we pay heed towards increasing our knowledge too.

We lack general knowledge and current affairs awareness but we are well-versed in English speaking. Though good English speaking skills are needed to communicate well, knowledge is required to make that communication meaningful.

So I urge the youth to pay due attention to increasing their knowledge besides developing good speaking skills.
