Young World

I have loved reading Young World since I was seven and now I am 12 years old and I still love reading it. YW is very informative and full of interesting stuff. It is helpful in improving our English and enhancing our vocabulary. It is not wrong to say YW makes my Saturday breakfast better and I thank the YW team for bringing out such a great magazine for children as well as for grownups.

I like YW very much because it has stories, articles, poems and everything I love. Beside that I also like the website review and after visiting the sites reviewed, I find them to be very interesting.

The magazine is a great source for increasing our vocabulary as well as knowledge so I thank the YW team for their hard work in providing us with amazing stuff every week and pray that YW always flourishes.

Parents

Many kids are careless towards their parents and don’t realise that their parents care for them more than anyone else in the world. They sacrifice their wishes for the children’s happiness and are always on the guard.

It is my request to all the readers that respect your parents and always make them happy.

Beat the heat

This is regarding the cover story “Beat the heat” by Naveed Fayyaz, (YW, May 21). The article was a good reminder of ways to beat the heat because since the last couple of years, the rise in the temperature has really caused havoc in the country and it seems each year it is getting hotter and hotter.

It was well advised in the article that the elderly and children are more likely to get affected by the scorching heat so they should avoid the hot hours of the day and if it is necessary to go outside, they should cover their heads and keep hydrated.

Captivating cup cakes

This is with reference to the story “Captivating cup cakes” by Fatima Qayyum Abbasi (YW, May 21). I loved the very idea behind the story that children should not lie to their parents and if they are tempted to eat something, they should ask their parents to get it because parents know what is healthy and what is not.

I request the writer and the YW team to publish more stories with morals and lessons in them.
