Education provides us with a strong foundation in life. Good education gives a brilliant generation to a country. In the Holy Quran, Almighty Allah has stressed a lot on acquiring education. Our Holy Prophet has always emphasised on the importance of education.

Education brings changes in a person. It makes a person independent and self-sufficient. Education starts from the time a baby is born. The major chunk of education is gained from one’s home and family as we spend majority of our time at home and learn from our family members.

In addition, then we go to school, collage or the workplace, we meet people and learn new things. Nowadays acquiring education has become somewhat difficult due to the poor law and order of our country, thus it is our responsibly to work towards it.

This is important to realise that when we go to school, our parents are always scared because of the uncertain law and order situation. Now the question arises that what can a student do?

“Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world.” — Nelson Mandela

Let me share few important points which can help my fellow students to cope with these issues.

· Revise the work you have learnt in school as soon as possible after you come home from school.

· At least a week before a test, start studying for it.

· Watch movies and cartoons which help you to learn new things (in a positive manner).

· Take time to play, but give ample time to studies too.

Education provides us with a better future, good health and a happy stable life. At times friends distract us from studies. We should not let this happen. We must play and enjoy ourselves but we should not get so engrossed in our enjoyment that we don’t give time to studies. Education should be a priority for us.

Education helps to boost our speaking power and confidence. There are many other benefits of education too. If we study well, we can get scholarships, and with this we can help our parents save a lot of money. Education also helps us to deal with the difficulties that come in one’s life as it develops in us problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, educated people are more respected due to their superior knowledge and contribution to society. Education make as a person more powerful. The reason behind this is what my parents say to me: “A thief can steal your belongings but he can never steal your education from you.”

At times our parents get angry with us because we do not take interest in studies or don’t complete the homework on time. They do this because they love us and they want to see us move to the top.

Another important point I would like to stress upon is regarding the days on which we miss school. Every day we learn a new concept and if it is missed, it is difficult to learn it well later on by ourselves. Moreover, if we miss school, our classmates will move ahead and will get better marks.

So let’s help each other and move ahead as we want our country to move forward. My family expects and wishes that I should be a really good person who utilises my education in a positive manner, so I have started working hard.

In the end I would like to quote these lines: “The main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth.” — Erasmus.
