KARACHI: Two members of the Hindu community were among three people shot dead in an attack on a wine shop in the Abbas Town area of the metropolis on Sunday evening.

“Two armed individuals on a motorcycle attacked the wine shop,” said Malir SSP Rao Anwar.

The police official added the shop manager, a salesman and a guard died as a result of the attack, while another guard sustained gunshot wounds.

“We are investigating the attack,” said Anwar.

He stated that an initial probe suggested the attack might be linked with non-payment of extortion.
