Sindh Police to enhance sports activities

KARACHI: A meeting of Sindh Police Sports Board was held at Central Police Office here recently under the chairmanship of Imran Yaqoob Minhas (DIG) to discuss several vital issues pertaining to promotion of sports in the province.

Organisers of all sports disciplines, sports officers and sports coordinators attended the meeting which was held as per the directive of Sindh Police IG A. D. Khawaja.

It was decided in the meeting that sports activities will be greatly enhanced in Sindh Police and a proper annual sports calender will be prepared.

The members of the meeting also appreciated outstanding players of Sindh Police. It was also decided that the formation and mechanism of Sindh Police sports teams will be streamlined while the recommendation for new appointments in Sindh Police will be considered on sports basis.

It was also decided to organise a marathon race at Sea View next month.

The matter of Sindh Police Games was also discuss in the meeting but the dates for the same will be finalised in the next meeting of Sindh Police Sports Board.
