200 buried near Attock: Binyamin

LAHORE, Nov 23: Punjab PML-N vice-president Binyamin Rizvi has alleged that some 200 mutilated human bodies and other organs were buried in various graveyards of Jund tehsil in Attock district under the supervision of commandos and operatives of intelligence agencies in the dark of the night last week.

In a press statement here on Sunday, the former provincial minister said that those laid to rest without funeral prayers had been killed in a joint US-Pakistan operation in southern Waziristan.

He said any state institution which had the courage should take notice of what he called the barbarism and ferret out the truth.

The PML-N leader said Gen Musharraf should let the nation know why he was shedding Muslim blood in Pakistan to safeguard US interests.

He said the general did not have the courage to speak to the US administration. But he was challenging his own people and opposition leaders.

ISPR DENIES: ISPR director-general Maj-Gen Shaukat Sultan Khan vehemently termed the report baseless.

Giving his reaction to Dawn, he said no joint Pakistan-US operation had been carried out in any part of the country in the past and none was in the offing.

He said any operation in Pakistan, if necessary, was carried out only by the local agencies. The ISPR chief said neither anybody had been killed nor buried.

Thus, he said, the entire statement was absurd, baseless. —Staff Reporter
