CHAKWAL: Five people lost their lives in separate incidents in Chakwal district, police sources said on Monday.

In the first incident, Qalbe Abbas, 28, a resident of Murid village, was travelling on a motorbike on Talagang Road when a passenger van hit him, killing him on the spot. The van driver managed to flee from the scene.

The second incident occurred in Sadiyali village where a man gunned down his elder brother.

“There was a land issue between the brothers, and the matter was in court,” a police official said. The accused is still at large.

In another incident, a labourer died after a mixture machine ran over him on Islamabad-Lahore Motorway.

The machine went out of the driver’s control and hit the labourer identified as Mohammad Mustaqim.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old boy drowned in a well in Karkwali village in Talagang tehsil.

Mohammad Shoaib was bathing in the well. Similarly, Mohammad Sarfaraz, 22, drowned while swimming in Thoa Mehram Dam.
