QUETTA: The Accountability Court, Quetta, has extended remand of Mir Khalid Khan Langove, former adviser to Balochistan chief minister on finance, for another 14 days in the mega corruption case.

This was the third time that Mr Langove has been remanded into the custody of the National Accountability Bureau, Balochistan.

The NAB team produced Mr Langove before the Accountability Court on Tuesday amid tight security after completion of the earlier 14-day remand. Accountability Court judge Abdul Majeed Nasar heard the case.

The presence of a number of supporters of Mr Langove in the court angered the AC judge who asked Mr Langove to explain as to why there was a mob in the court. Mr Langove assured the court that there would be no gathering of his supporters in the court in the next hearing of the case.

The NAB prosecutor informed the court that there was need for more interrogation of Mr Langove and requested it to grant NAB another 14-day remand of the accused.
