Is it a fox or a dog?

With her bright orange fur, bright blues eyes and she looks just like a fox is actually a dog! Mya is an adorable Pomsky (a cross between a Pomeranian and Siberian Husky) that is taking the internet by storm with her mesmerising features and a growing fan base with over 25,000 followers on Instagram.

The two-year-old puppy lives with her owner Dave Lascio near Philadelphia, in the US. Mr Lascio first found out about Mya’s growing fan base when his friend sent him a link to a story.

“My friend sent me a link to Buzzfeed and said, “Dude, your dog’s all over the internet ... I was like, ‘what?’” he said. “She’s a hit all over the place... she’s friendly with everyone,” he added.

Lascio and Mya spend a lot of time together hiking and going to dog parks. The adventurous canine has been pictured from forests in Pennsylvania to the mountains and canyons of Colorado and sunny Miami beaches.


A ‘shocking’ way to control spending

Development in technology brings unique and sometimes ‘shocking’ stuff, just like this wristband that controls a person’s shopping spree by giving its wearer an electric shock when they go overdrawn.

The shock is reported to be ‘slightly uncomfortable’, rather than painful and intended to train a person into staying in credit, says Intelligent Environments, the company that provides the connection between the device and the banking sites.

The idea is that the Pavlok wristband will be wired up to an online bank account so that, when the user goes overdrawn beyond pre-set spending limits, they will be given a 255-volt shock.

The plan is worked out in four stages, starting with the customer logging into their credit card or bank account facility. They then connect the device and set a spending limit. When users get near their self-imposed limit, a notification will be sent to their phone. If they go on spending regardless, the wristband moves into shock mode. The company emphasises it has been tested fully and is safe.


TV that repels mosquitoes with ultrasonic rays!

Electronics giant LG announced a new TV being marketed in India includes an ultrasonic component designed to repel mosquitoes.

The company announced the Mosquito Away line of TVs, which use ultrasonic technology to ward away the blood-sucking insects, are being marketed in India with a starting price of $400 for a TV with a 32-inch display.

The company said the TVs are designed and produced in India. “The ultrasonic sound waves effectively drive away the mosquitoes keeping your loved ones absolutely safe at home. Since no harmful chemicals are used, it is also odour-free and not hazardous to health like the conventional methods used for keeping mosquito away,” the company said on its website.
