HYDERABAD: Ghazan­far Ali Shah, the Sindh forests and wildlife additional secretary who was a paternal cousin of Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, was found dead in his apartment situated in the Thandi Sarak area on Sunday evening, officials at the GOR police station said.

The deceased official’s family did not opt for any legal formalities saying that he died of cardiac arrest probably late on Sunday evening.

Mr Shah was in his 50s and had been suffering from depression since the death of his wife some time ago, family sources said.

The body was first taken to his bungalow within the GOR Colony where his family members lived and then to Sehwan, in Jamshoro district, for funeral.
