SUKKUR: Police arrested 18 people during house-to-house search after an operation in settlements located along embankments of three canals near bypass on Sunday.

A large contingent of police raided settlements on the embankments of Dadu, Rice and Khirthar canals and arrested Hafeezullah Narejo, Liaqat Khoso, Eidan Khoso, Abdul Majeed Jafferi, Abdul Bari Marfani, Nabi Bux Khoso, Ubedullah Narejo, Ali Sher, Saeed Khoso, Jamshed Chachar, Meer Khan Khoso, Shah Mohammad Khoso, Dil Murad Khoso, Gulzar Chachar and others who belonged to different areas of Balochistan.

Police officials said the operation was carried out under the National Action Plan.
