Naval chief praises marines posted along border

KARACHI: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah visited the forward posts of Pakistan Marines in the creeks area bordering India on Monday to meet the troops and extend Eid greetings to them.

During informal interaction with the marines, the naval chief was also briefed on operational matters and the efforts to augment security of the creeks area.

He was accompanied by Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Arifullah Hussaini.

Talking to the officers and men deployed near the Indian border, the admiral lauded their hard work, devotion and high morale in defending the critical frontier under a very harsh topographic environment comprising marshes, swamps and unpredictable waterways.

He expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of Pakistan Marines in the creeks area.
