LAHORE: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi discussed convening of a conference of all opposition parties to formulate a joint strategy for a protest movement against the government.

In a telephonic conversation with Qureshi on Tuesday, Shujaat also discussed the government’s move to start a new round of talks with the opposition on the terms of reference (ToR) for the inquiry commission on Panama leaks.

Qureshi said if a consensus was not developed the opposition parties would convene a meeting to finalise a plan to take to the street against the PML-N government over Panamagate.

Meanwhile in a statement released to the media, Shujaat condemned the killing of Kashmiris in held Kashmir, saying the Kashmiris were burying their deceased in the Pakistani flag while Pakistani rulers were practically doing nothing to stop their massacre.

He said the rulers should not continue friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the cost of Kashmiris’ blood.
