SUKKUR: Boys outshone girls in the science group while no candidate could secure A-1 grade in the general group as per result of the Annual Examinations-2016 of Secondary School Certificate Part-II (Class-X) (science and general groups) held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Sukkur, in its jurisdiction of Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze districts on Wednesday.
According to a gazette notification, in the science group, 36,345 boys while 15,027 girls appeared in the examination. Of them 26,409 boys and 12,223 girls were passed.
Among the overall candidates, Akash Ali of Ever Shine Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, stood first with 780 marks; Sagufta Naz of Mazhar Muslim Model Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, second with 772 marks while Samiullah of Cadet College Ghotki secured the third position by obtaining765 marks.
Among boys in the science group, Akash Ali stood first, Samiullah second and Muhammad Yousuf Siddiqi of APWA Excellence World School, Sukkur, remained third by obtaining 763 marks.
From girls, Sagufta Naz daughter stood first, Amaima Fatima Ansari of The Educator’s School Ghotki second by obtaining 761 marks and Nayab Shakoor Rind of Government Traces High School Khairpur secured the third position with 760 marks.In this group, pass percentage of boys remained at 72.67 while of girls at 81.35.
In the general group, 2,848 boys and 357 girls appeared in the exam. Of them 657 boys and 50 girls failed.
