Three clever chicks

This is with reference to the story “Three clever chicks” by Zara Naz (YW, June 25).

I really loved the story as it showed how important it is to keep our senses alert even in dangerous situations and take decisions by keeping our cool. The story also gave the lesson that we should forgive our enemies so that they feel ashamed of their bad acts and learn the power of forgiveness.

I request the YW team to always carry stories with a message.

Stop comparing

This is with reference to the article “Stop comparing” by Syeda Armeen Nasim (YW, July 16). We could all relate to the content of the article as all students face this problem.

It’s okay not to secure the best grade in school because not all children are alike and every child has their own abilities and inner talents.

I believe comparison kills creativity, and parents should learn to appreciate their children as they are and encourage them in their choices.

Pathetic education

With much regret I would like to bring to the attention of Baluchistan Education Board that during the time of examinations, one can laugh out loud on seeing students cheating and copying so easily that it doesn’t feel like an examination hall but a regular class, where students talk and write from the notes.

As a result, weak students get top marks as they write straight from notebooks and textbooks, while good students who do everything on their own without copying are left behind. Sadly, this is all done under the supervision of the examiner/invigilator.

Therefore, it is my request to the education authorities in Baluchistan to pay attention and take severe action against the examiners and students who promote and observe this cheating practice.

The weekly weird

YW is a treat for kids as it has almost everything in it, from quotes to jokes, and from articles to great stories. What I love most in the magazine is the section “The weekly weird”.

Every week, I eagerly wait for the YW to read my favourite section which carries amazing and unbelievable news from around the world. This makes me realise that YW team does a great job of researching the appropriate content for the kids. My parents don’t allow me to go through many websites as they often carry inappropriate stuff, thus by getting my favourite news in YW every week doesn’t only makes me happy but my parents, too. So I thank the YW team for this again.
