NAROWAL: The district administration has issued flood alert here on Thursday for Basenter, Baein and Dek nullahs, besides River Ravi, due to heavy rains in Kashmir.
Issuing the alert, DCO Rafaqat Ali Naswana ordered Rescue 1122 and health department staff to be ready to meet any emergency as the high flow would pass through the district in the next 24 hours.
The district administration has also asked the residents of the areas prone to floods to shift to safer places along with their valuables and livestock.
