KASUR: Mustafabad police handed over the body of a six-year-old boy to his parents on Monday who had been missing for the last six days.

Police were alerted on Sunday about the body found at the Gadoki canal bridge. The body was shifted to the Kasur District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The body was later identified as of Muhammad Ahmed, 6, of Lahore.

His father, Ahmed Asadullah, had got lodged a complaint with Shalimar Police of Lahore on Aug 17 that some unidentified people had kidnapped his son.

Mustafabad police handed over the body to the Shalimar police after legal formalities.

HOAX CALL: Sarai Mughal police arrested on Monday a man for making a hoax call to police threatening to detonate explosives in the Kasur city and seized a mobile phone and a SIM card from him.

The Lahore police received a call that the Kasur city would be blown up.

Meanwhile, a member of the public alerted the Sarai Mughal police that he had overheard the caller’s threats at Mega Adda.

Sara-i-Mughal police arrested the man, later identified as Ali Raza. According to Sarai Mughal police, Raza had admitted to making the hoax call and added the mobile phone did not belong to him.

Police regathered a case terror and telegraph acts.

DIES: A 70-year-old man died when his daughter-in-law pushed him to the ground during a scuffle at home on Monday at Ali Park, in the jurisdiction of Sadar police.

According to police, Ume Shahzadi had left her house after differences with her husband and wanted a divorce.

On Monday, Shahzadi along with her mother, Arshad Bibi, and brother Muhammad Arshad arrived at her house to pack her dowry. Her father-in-law, Muhammad Esa, stopped Shahzadi from doing so. She allegedly pushed him with a force. Esa fell and died instantly.

Police registered a case with out any arrest so far.
