QUETTA: A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier and a suspected shooter were killed in an exchange of fire here on Friday.

An FC vehicle was patrolling the Sariab road area when an armed man on a motorcycle opened fire on it, killing a soldier, said an FC spokesman.

The FC retaliated and shot the assailant dead, he added.

The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the other suspects involved. A probe was under way.
