LAHORE: The town municipal administrations (TMAs) on Friday launched a crackdown on illegal sale points of sacrificial animals in the city.

A team of the Wagah town administration captured the vendors and their 27 goats on the Canal Road near Harbanspura. LWMC: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will deploy teams of 170 sanitary workers to maintain sanitation in seven major animal markets around the metropolis including Shahpur Kanjran, Saggian Interchange, Kamahan Interchange, Kahna Interchange and Bismillah Housing Scheme, GT Road.

According to a spokesman, the LWMC teams will work in three shifts and plan will remain intact by second day of Eidul Azha.

Meanwhile, the Albayrak Waste Management Company carried out a cleanliness awareness campaign in the Walled City. The teams went from door to door to inform the citizens about proper methods of waste management.

LDA: The Lahore Development Authority Director General Nabeel Javed has asked the one-window director to verify property-related documents from the respective sub-registrars to dispose of the cases related to property transfer, etc.
