KARACHI: Faisalabad rode on Mohammad Rizwan’s half-century to collect 240 in their first innings against Karachi Blues on day one of the opening-round three-day match in the PCB Under-19 Inter-region Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.

Rizwan scored 60 after the visitors opted to bat first at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground with his 117-ball knock featuring seven fours.

Karachi Blues ended the day on 52-1 in their reply.

Asad Malik struck 100 off 158 balls (eight fours and one six) as Hyderabad posted 219 all out after deciding to bat first against Larkana at Garhi Khuda Bux.

Larkana were 37-1 when stumps were drawn for the day.

Umair Masood excelled with 74 (12 fours) and Wahidullah 70 (10 boundaries) as Rawalpindi piled up 310-9 in the allotted 83 overs versus Multan at the National Ground in Islamabad.

Ammad Alam slammed 93 (off 125 balls, 12 fours) while guiding Karachi Whites to 279 against Bahawalpur at the Dring Stadium. The hosts reached 4-1 at stumps.
