KARACHI: The duo of Zia and Atif starred with their scoring skills as Bounce Club overwhelmed Bahadur Club 65-39 to cruise into final of the Independence Day basketball tournament at Arambagh floodlit court on Friday.

The winners led 30-19 at half time.

Both the scorers played vital role in their team’s triumph over their opponents in the second semi-final. Zia amassed 18 points while Atif finished with 15. The two were followed by Abdullah, who scored eight points.

Bahadur Club, who failed to match the brilliance of Bounce Club in the first and fourth quarters, fought neck-and-neck in the second and third before losing narrowly 11-13, 15-16.

Farooq was their key player who matched Zia’s tally of 18 while Wasti and Riaz scored seven points apiece for the losers.

The final between Bounce Club and Nishtar Club will be played on Sunday at 8pm.
