TAXILA: Adviser to federal ombudsman said the purpose of establishing camp office at tehsil and district level was to provide relief to the people against different federal government departments.

He was talking to the media after receiving the people’s complaints at Attock on Sunday.

Most of the complaints were against Wapda and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines. He advised the officers concerned to ensure prompt redress of the complaints within the given time and submit compliance reports.

He expressed his annoyance over unnecessary delay by the departments in giving gas and electricity connections.

He directed the officers concerned to ensure gas and electricity connection to the people who have been waiting for these connections for the last two years.

The advisor said that now Federal Ombudsman Salman Farooqi has appointed focal persons in different embassies across the world to redress the complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
