Muslims around the world celebrated Eidul Azha with great religious fervour on Monday to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim which marks the end of the Haj pilgrimage to Makkah.

Special prayers in mosques were offered for the well-being of the Ummah and progress, prosperity, safety and security around the world.

Significance of the festival and the philosophy of sacrifice was highlighted in sermons during Eid prayers.
