SARGODHA: The city has been included in the Safe City Project of the Punjab government, stated a press release issued here on Monday by the office of regional police officer (RPO).

RPO Zulfiqar Hameed held a meeting with Punjab Safe City Authority and said that being a part of the project, Sargodha will be protected from terrorist activities and also help curtail all sorts of crime.

He added that all parliamentarians will be made part of the project for consultation and CCTV cameras will be installed on all important spots. The city will be centrally monitored through software at the command and control centre of the police office equipped with modern technology.

The RPO further said base commander of the Mushaf Air Base had also recommended including Sargodha in the project.

He added that after Eidul Azha he will visit the city to earmark space for a central control centre and the project will be launched shortly.

PRAYER TIMINGS: Eidul Azha prayers will be offered at more than 200 places in city and timings have been fixed mostly between 7am and 7:30am, while at some mosques the timings are 6:05am and 6:15am.

At Marzki Eidgah, the Eid prayer will be held at 7:45am, Cantt View park mosque PAF 7am, New Football Ground in Satellite Town 7am, Jamia Masjid Satellite Town Chowk 7:30am, Muhammadi Masjid Club Road 6:05am, Jamia Masjid Siddiqia Satellite Town 6:15am.

Police are on high alert and all mosques will be supervised by armed constables.
