LAHORE: The newly-appointed Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) Chairman Rizwan Khalid Butt said on Wednesday that the launch of Quaid-i-Azam Apparel Park, completion of Chunian and Rahim Yar Khan Industrial Estates, and zero loadshedding at industrial estates are on his priority list.

Addressing his first PIEDMC Board of Directors’ meeting, Mr Butt said the first phase of Rahim Yar Khan Industrial Estate had already been completed while the second one is nearing completion. “We will start its colonisation drive soon,” he stressed.

Mr Butt also announced setting up of Chunian Industrial Estate. He said the location of the estate was next to Lahore and skilled labour would be available in abundance to potential investors. He expressed hope that the estate would be completed by 2017.
