KHAIRPUR, Dec 8: District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said the establishment of the Odho private force will affect law and order situation in the district.

Talking to newsmen on Monday, Ms Shah said private forces would increase disharmony among people and smaller clans would be harassed.

Ms Shah said the establishment of private forces was an admission by the government that it was unable to restore law and order situation.

She also questioned the role of police in the presence of private forces.

TALUKA COUNCIL:The Taluka Council which met here on Monday with convener Lal Bux Mangi in the chair condemned the government apathy towards its resolutions.

Speaking on the occasion, members regretted that resolutions passed by the council were not being implemented.

They said sanitation in five union councils of Khairpur town was not satisfactory. They pointed out that sanitation material was not provided to the staff which also hampered their efficiency.

The members criticized increasing encroachments, saying TMA officials were responsible for it. They said the staff appointed to remove encroachments was not working properly.

The convener said the sanitation material should immediately be provided to the staff in all the five UCs of Khairpur town and the Taluka Municipal Administration should take action against encroachers.

Regarding closure of 16 primary and middle schools and absentee teachers of union council Babarloi, the convener instructed to write a letter to EDO education to open schools.
