KARACHI: Quetta stunned Karachi Blues by two wickets in their fourth-round fixture of the PCB Inter-region Under-19 One-day Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday.

Imran Khan grabbed four wickets for 33 runs at help the visitors, who had opted to bowl first at the toss at the UBL Sports Complex, skittle out Karachi Blues for 123 in 35.4 overs.

Quetta somehow managed to reach a modest target in 42.3 overs while losing eight wickets in the process. Ali Khan claimed five wickets for 12 runs.

Hyderabad were also surprise winners as Faisalabad were defeated by five wickets in another low-scoring Group ‘A’ tie at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad.

But Lahore Blues were on song when they crushed Larkana by nine wickets at the NBP Sports Complex thanks to unbeaten contributions from Fahad Munir (79) and Ali Zaryab (62).

In a high-scoring clash at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar, the home side defeated Rawalpindi by 24 runs.

Nabi Gul hit 143 (11 fours and eight sixes) and Mohammad Mohsin made 112 (16 boundaries) as Peshawar amassed 331-7 in their 50 overs.

Rawalpindi responded by totalling 307-9 with Nasir Nawaz scoring a 92-ball 99 (12 fours and two sixes).

In other Group ‘B’ fixtures Dera Murad Jamali edged Lahore Whites by four wickets while Sialkot thrashed Multan by 133 runs.

In Group ‘C’ matches Karachi Whites beat Abbottabad by five wickets. Islamabad defeated Bahawalpur by seven wickets and Fata overcame Azad Jammu Kashmir by six wickets.
