KARACHI: Convent of Jesus and Mary, City School DK Campus, Aga Khan Garden School and Shahwalayat School on Thursday qualified for the junior team semi-finals of the seventh Culligan Girls Throwball Tournament at The City School PAF Chapter.

In the Seniors group, Nixor College, Aga Khan HS School, Habib Girls School and Lyceum reached the semis which will be contested on Friday.

The finals and third position matches will also be played on Friday. Secretary Sports Ahmed Raza will be chief guest at the closing ceremony on Friday.

The tournament has been organised by Sindh Throwball Association and as many as 14 teams in the Senior Group and 24 team in the Junior Group are participating.

Results:

Juniors group (quarter-finals):

Aga Khan School Garden beat Haque Academy 2-1; City School DK Campus beat Habib Girls School 2-1; Shahwalayat School beat Mama Parsi School 2-1; Convent of Jesus and Mary beat Nasra School 2-0.

Seniors group (quarter-finals):

Nixor College beat Reyden College 2-0; Habib Girls School beat The City School PAF Chapter 2-1; Aga Khan H. School beat NTA 2-0; Lyceum B beat South Shore 2-0.
