ISLAMABAD: India is only good at hurling threats but if Pakistani military decides to act on them the response will assume a far more practical form, said chairman of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) retired General Pervez Musharraf on Saturday.
Speaking by telephone to APML workers on the party’s sixth foundation day, Gen Musharraf criticised India’s attitude and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had become the enemy of minorities living in his own country.
“India should realise that Pakistan is not Bhutan. India has a habit of levelling allegations against Pakistan each time there’s an attack on its soil,” he said.
Former president says he wants to return to Pakistan but doing so at this time will be of no use
The former president said that due to its government’s wrong policies, Pakistan has become isolated internationally.
“It is astonishing that the government has taken and spent a loan of $35 billion but not a single beneficial megaproject has been completed with that money. Instead, the people have been suffering because of the government’s corruption,” he said.
Gen Musharraf said he wanted to return to Pakistan but doing so at this time would be of no use.
“I have a problem in my backbone which is being treated. Coming back to Pakistan now will be of no use because I will not be allowed to move about freely.”
He said he would return to the country once the cases initiated against him reached a logical conclusion.
The APML would take part in the elections of 2018 for which the party could enter into alliances with some parties, he added.

General Saab we need people like you in Pakistan. I still remember the Indo Pak stand off when you were in Power and how well you handle the entire situation and the Indian forces had to Backup eventually and Pakistan came out victorious without even firing a single bullet.

"India should realise that Pakistan is not Bhutan." ... Just after one surgical strike "Myanmar" changed to "Bhutan"! Anyway FYI Indian army had known to apply sandwitch strategy with Bhutanese and Bangladeshi armies in joint operations against the militants.

Maybe Musharraf doesnt know about India's space tech, India's IT industry, India's plan to economically isolate(oh just dont talk about CPEC, thats for china only) is also good by the way as I can see. Believe me Pakistan is a big zero without China, But India have its own existance atleast

But US has. Right? Don't forget that this time US is offering full backing to India. They signed an agreement to use each others defense bases to fight against common enemy.... that could be Pakistan too.
Also don't forget that US does 24 hours monitoring for Pakistan's nukes. If Pakistan tried to use nukes on India then they will get an excuse to attack Pakistan. And in that case China won't help.

Yes sir, of course Pakistan is not Bhutan and we know that. Bhutan is the happiest country in world with no threats of terrorism. Peaceful democracy, has a really good image internationally. Also maintains the best of international relations. A country which measures it's development by "Health Index" instead of GDP. Have you ever wondered how the present scenario might have been if Pakistan was Bhutan?

The condition of Pakistan is known to everyone except the people of pakistan. Just to compare, after getting independence from Pakistan, Bangladesh's GDP ($226Billion) is just below Pakistan's GDP ($270Billion). Bangladesh's export is more than that of Pakistan. All this of course when Bangladesh has less population and less area than Pakistan. The rate which Bangladesh is growing, their economy will overtake Pakistan in few years.

US and Europe sees Kargil adventure as one place when they completely lost trust in Pakistan. Musharraf lied on their faces that aggressors were militants and not army regulars. It is well documented in video interviews by US politicians and Tony Blair himself. That hurt Pakistan more than anything.

General Sahib you were a good ruler of Pakistan but unfortunately you made some grave errors for which you have to stay away from your own country which politicians in Pakistan do so by turns.
