Law enforcement agencies started implementation of security plans for maintaining law and order during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram, especially for the first 10 days of the holy month.

Strict security measures have been taken all over the country to avoid any untoward incident.

Along with heavy police and paramilitary contingents, personnel of the Pakistan Army would also be deployed in sensitive areas of the country to ensure peaceful completion of mourning processions.
