Update course books

It is sad to mention that our course books are very outdated, containing old theories that have been rejected across the world.

Our educational system should be improved. Even though the Punjab board has provided their email address to consult or lodge complaints, sadly I didn’t receive any response from the authorities. I request the Punjab government to improve our educational system and update the textbooks.

Health alert!

This is with reference to the article “What you need to know about the Congo virus” by Kasif Hafeez (YW, September 3). Knowing about viruses that spread contagious diseases is mandatory for everyone and YW magazine should always carry articles on such issues because this magazine is a good source of spreading knowledge among children.

The article was very helpful and we should all spread information about any contagious disease to people around us.

Wonder crafts!

This is regarding the new section Wonder crafts! “Newspaper bags” by Asif Ali (YW, September 17). I would like to appreciate the writer for bringing to us such an amazing DIY craft that was not only easy but handy too; making use of old or discarded stuff at home is a wonderful way of going green, which also don’t weigh on the budget of parents.

We should always look for opportunities for making our parents happy and this is one of the best ways. We can support them by not asking them to buy us new and luxury stuff, instead we should show them our creativity by making wonder crafts like this one. I hope the writer will bring to us more amazing DIY crafts in the future.

English language

English language is considered the most commonly used language across the world. It has become essential to know about other language as much as one can.

And there are many sources for improving the language skills, one of which is the Young World magazine and Dawn newspaper. While reading interesting stories, letters and topics of YW, I have really improved my language skills which include vocabulary, story writing, etc.

A new word is also given to enrich our vocabulary on weekly basis. Stories in this magazine highlight the everyday life. We can learn and get suggestions from such stories.

I suggest all beginners to read YW magazine to not only enjoy it, but also to improve their writing and reading skills.
