Fahim wins ranking tennis

KARACHI: Fahim Ramzan overcame stiff resistance from Farhan Altaf to win the men’s singles final while the pair of Noor-e-Mustafa and Apsra outplayed Danish and Meggi to win the mixed doubles at the First Naushad Imdad 45th Development Series Ranking Tennis Championship which concluded at Bath Island Club on Sunday.

Khalid Rehmani, secretary Pakistan Tennis Federation, informed that in the first week of November STA/KTA will organize Second Abdul Majeed memorial Trophy Ranking Tennis in Karachi. Former hockey Olympian Sohail Abbas was the chief guest on the occasion while Senator Taj Hayder Uzma Ismail and Ashfaq Mallah were the guests of honor.

Results:

Men’s singles (final): Fahim Ramzan bt Farhan Altaf 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.

Men’s doubles (final): Fahim Ramzan/Sajjad Memon bt Danish Ramzan/Aleem Memon 7-5, 6-4.

Mixed doubles (final) Noor-e-Mustafa/Apsra bt Danish/Meggi 8-6.
