Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday hit back at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's speech a day earlier, demanding a response to accusations of corruption levelled against the premier and his family after the Panama revelations.

PM Nawaz, addressing a gathering after the PML-N's intra-party elections on Tuesday said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were looking for those who had promised them a new Pakistan.

“Today, the Instead of serving the people of their province, they are wasting time dancing on containers,” the premier said.

Imran Khan in Islamabad said that Nawaz had spoken about "everything except Panamagate" during his address.

"2018 [general election] is far away. He has to answer now on the Panama leaks," he said.

"Mian Panama Sharif, people will not forget your corruption," Imran thundered, accusing the premier of "making a mockery" of the party's polls.

"We cannot even hope for elections from them as Nawaz Sharif is running his political business like a dictator," he alleged. "The PML-N is mistaken if they think they can form a government in KP through rigging."

The PTI has announced a lockdown of Islamabad on November 2 in pursuance of the party's demand for the premier's 'resignation or accountability' following Panamagate.

However, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned the PTI chief for a hearing the same day regarding a reference calling for disqualification of Imran Khan and senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen.

When questioned about the hearing, Imran accused the ECP of siding with the PML-N in the 2013 general election. He added that the ECP and PML-N contested the 2013 elections together.

"ECP can do whatever it wants till 2pm on Nov 2. After that, there will be a tsunami of people," the PTI chief remarked.

Imran also alleged the PML-N government had concealed matters pertaining to the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He maintained the project is not being undertaken in a transparent manner, as it is not clear what the sources of loans were.
