PESHAWAR: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) clinched the All-Pakistan Shama Challenge Football Cup title after a 2-0 win over Pakistan Air Force in the final at the Qayyum Sports Complex on Thursday.

Shakir Lashari and Shazeb scored a goal in each half as PIA overcame PAF in an enthralling match.

The opening goal came four minutes before halftime after good work from Abdul Jabbar Senior set up Shakir in space and the striker made no mistake in slamming the ball home.

PAF tried to come back in the contest with the early part of the second half seeing both teams go close until PIA sealed the contest when Shakir and Jabbar combined to give Shahzeb an easy finish in the 77th minute.
