LAHORE: Overall, 15 matches—11 in the qualifying round and four in the main draw—were decided on the first day of the ZTBL Junior National Tennis Ranking Championships at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association courts in Bagh-i-Jinnah here on Saturday.

In the U-18 age category of the main draw, Noman Aftab beat Shan Hussain 6-3, 6-3 while Hafiz Arbab Ali outplayed Samad Arejo 6-0, 6-1 with Mohammad Saif securing a win against Saif-ul-Aziz 6-1, 6-0.

In the last match of the day, Huzafia Abdul Rehman proved too good against Bilal Kabeer 6-3, 6-0.

Earlier, 11 matches of one-off set were decided in the qualifying round of the U-18 age category.
