President arrives in Qatar

DOHA: President Mamnoon Hussain arrived here on Saturday on a four-day official visit to hold talks with the Qatari leadership for strengthening relations between the two countries in various fields.

The president was invited to Doha by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

He was received at the Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Minister for Trans­port and Communication Jas­sim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti. Pakistan’s ambassador to Qat­ar, Shehzad Ahmad, and senior officials of the embassy were also present at the airport.

Mr Hussain was accompanied by his wife Mehmooda Hussain and was presented a bouquet by two children on the occasion.

During the visit, the president will hold meetings with the emir of Qatar and other dignitaries.
