LAHORE: A good number of 15 more matches were decided in different categories on the penultimate day of the first ZTBL National Junior Tennis Champ­ionships at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts here on Tuesday.

In the boys’ U-18 semi-finals, Barkatullah was first to enter the final, defeating Asadullah in straight set 6-3, 7-5. In U-18 girls quarter-finals, Noor Malik, Esha Jawad, Shimza Tahir and Mahin Aftab won their respective matches.

Noor slammed her rival Zakia to earn a facile 6-0, 6-1 win while Esha proved too good against Maheen Khan winning her match easily 6-0, 6-1. Shimza also had easy sailing against Qareen Wazir 6-0, 6-0.

Boys U-18 semi-final: Barkatullah bt Asadullah 6-3, 7-5.

Boys U-18 quarter-finals: Yousuf Khan bt Harris Irfan-ul-Haq 6-4, 6-2; Mohammad Shoaib bt Illham Khan 6-0,6-2; Asadullah bt Hafiz Arbab Ali 6-7,6-2,6-3; Barkatullah bt Huzaifa Abdul Rehman 6-2,6-2.

Girls U-18 quarter-finals: Noor Mailk bt Zakia 6-0,6-1; Esha Jawad bt Maheen Khan 6-0,6-1; Shimza Tahir bt Oreen Wazir 6-0,6-0; Mahin Aftab bt Fatima Qureshi 6-0,6-0.

Boys U-14 semi-finals: Mohammad Shoaib bt Nalain Abbas 6-0, 6-0; Hamza Bin Rehan bt Mohammad Abdulla 6-1,4-6, (10-5).

Boys U-14 quarter-finals: Mohammad Shoaib bt Ahmad Kamil 6-2, 4-6, 10-6; Nalain Abbas bt Abdul Hanan Khan 6-1,6-3; Mohammad Abdullah bt Zalan Khan 6-1,6-1; Hamza Bin Rehan bt Mohammad Said 3-6,6-0,(11-9).
