Habib Girls School bag netball titles in style

KARACHI: Habib Girls School outplayed their rivals in under-19 and under-17 categories to win back-to-back titles at the Karachi Girls Netball Cup which concluded at City School PAF here on Friday.

The event was jointly organised by the Pakistan Netball Federation and the Sindh Netball Association in collaboration with City School PAF Chapter.

In an exciting U-17 final, played between Habib Girls School and The City School PAF Chapter, remained tied at 6-6 during regular time.

In extra time, three chances to score were allotted to both teams and Habib Girls beat their rivals by scoring more goals to win the title in style.

Meanwhile, the third-position match was played between City School Darakshan Campus and Mama Parsi School. City Darakshan won the match 4-3.

The U-19 final was played between Habib Girls College and The City School PAF Chapter A-Level. Habib School won the match 10-7 to secured the title and in the process achieved double glory.

The U-19 third-position match was played between Nixor College and City School Gulshan. The clash was won by Nixor College 3-2.

Raeesuddin Paracha, president of the Sindh Netball Association, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed the trophies, certificates and prizes among the players and teams.
