KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Saturday claimed to have seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition in Musharraf Colony in Baldia Town.
The paramilitary force conducted a raid in the colony and recovered arms and ammunition hidden underground in a home, said a Rangers spokesperson.
The seized arms include one G3 rifle, five submachine guns, two 8mm rifles and 14 magazines and 5,000 rounds.
The Rangers statement did not mention the ownership of the house from where the weapons were recovered or its owner’s purported affiliation with any group.
The Rangers claimed that “these weapons were supposed to be used for targeted killings and terrorism in the city.”
