LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s reply in the Supreme Court contradicts his earlier stance that he took during his televised address to the nation and what he later told the parliament, said Tahirul Qadri, chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
Addressing his party workers on telephone, he maintained the PM’s claim that all his children were independent also clashed with his submissions before the Election Commission. All these contradictions need to be noted, he said.
According to him, the most pertinent questions are: where was his money between 1982 (when the family sold factory) and 2005, when the offshore company was formed, how this money was smuggled out, if his family bought falts in London in 2005, how come his children were staying there since 1990s? and how have these “kids” made billions and from where?
He said he was waiting for the point when the prime minister would start questioning authority of the commission, if it started asking such probing questions.
Mr Qadri said it was a unique case in the sense that it proves wrongdoing had been personified in the person of the prime minister. He also claimed to have information of forging of all record during the last seven months. Ultimately, the government had to produce record before the court and “we will keep the track to see whether the government presents true record or the forged one because both versions are available with the government,” he said.
