KARACHI: The ever-improving Ibrahim Iltafat overcame a stiff challenge from Zubair Raja in a final to win the thrilling men singles title while Zubair, Mohammad Oanuddin and M Abdullah clinched the U-17, U-15 and U-13 titles respectively in the 2nd Abdul Majeed Trophy Tennis Championship which concluded at the Union Club here on Sunday.

In the ladies singles final, the prolific Hania Naveed got the better of Eraj Batool Zaidi after a tough fight.

Pakistan’s number one tennis player Aqeel Khan was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and gave away the trophies to winners and runners-up of various events.

U-17 Final - Zubair Raja bt Talha Sohail 1-6,6-2,10-6

U-15 Final - Syed Muhammad Oanuddin bt Gufran Fiaz 6-3,4-6,10-7

U-13 Final M Abdullah bt Ghufran Fiaz 8-5

Ladies Singles Final - Hania Naveed bt Eraj Batool Zaidi 8-0

Soft Tennis Final - Noor-e-Mustafa bt Ibrahim 5-1.
