TURBAT, an important town of Balochistan, has a pathetic road network.
The city’s main road has deteriorated to such an alarming state that it is not even fit to be called a potholed, dirt track. The businesses located along this thoroughfare are the worst affected as the occupants have no choice except to sit in a dust-laden atmosphere. As a result many shopkeepers have complained that they are suffering from respiratory diseases.
The poor condition of the roads has increased the wear and tear of vehicles, besides causing an increase in accidents. The authorities are requested to ensure early repair of roads.
