Three matches decided in softball championship

KARACHI: Three matches were decided on the second day of the third Irene Pearl School and College Softball Championship here on Wednesday.

The championship is being held here at the Trinity College Ground in collaboration with the SSA.

In the first encounter, Trinity Faith defeated Trinity Dis­cipline 6-2. Quria Dean scored twice on behalf of the winners. In the second match, the most exciting of the day, Trinity Integrity beat Trinity Unity 9-8.

Samra was highest scorer with two runs for the winners. Trinity Unity’s Hiba and Adina also scored two runs each.

In the third match, Trinity Pearls and Trinity Queens fought hard in a drawn game that ended at 4-4. Three matches including the semi-finals would be played on Thursday whereas the final will be held on Friday, the organisers said.
