Larkana paddy growers

RECENTLY growers held protests in Larkana and Sukkur over low paddy price, water shortage, according to a report in your paper (Nov 15).

Everyone knows that water is becoming scarcer in Pakistan, specially in Sindh, though we still grow paddy. No wonder,there is a shortage because the Sindh government allows it . The chief minister should put an end to rice plantation in water-starved Sindh and save the remaining water for the next generation.
