CHARSADDA: A college teacher and his cousin were killed while two others, including an attacker, suffered injuries when their rivals sneaked into the victims’ house on the night between Friday and Saturday and opened fire on the inmates in Gulabad area here.

Sardheri police officials said the relatives of lecturer Saifullah, the deceased, and Ijaz had exchanged harsh words during Isha prayers. Later, Ijaz and his accomplices entered the house of Saifullah and opened fire on the inmates, killing the teacher on the spot, and injuring his brother, Sayyar Ahmad, and cousin Musa. In the retaliatory firing, one of the attackers, Ijaz, was also injured.

The injured were shifted to hospital where Musa, a college student, died. The police lodged the case on the complaint of injured Sayyar against Ijaz and others. The police also registered a cross FIR against Saifullah and others on the complaint of Ijaz, and began investigations.

Police officials said the two groups were close relatives.
