OKARA: As part of his farewell visits, Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif addressed officers and men of Multan and Bahawalpur corps at Okara Garrison on Saturday.

The COAS appreciated the officers and jawans for their professionalism and dedication in maintaining an effective vigil along the international border in harsh desert environment, achieving highest training standards and reaching out to people for help in case of calamities and disasters.

He inaugurated a state of the art school for special children’s from both civilian and military families in the region and spent time with the children and staff of the school.

Earlier, on his arrival at Okara, the COAS was received by Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad, Commander of Multan Corps and Lt Gen Javed Iqbal of Bahawalpur Corps.
