ISLAMABAD: Army, Air Force, SNGPL and Wapda on Thursday went through to the semi-finals of the Chief of Air Staff National Kabaddi Championship being played at the Jinnah Stadium of the Pakistan Sports Complex.

Earlier, in their quarter-finals, the said teams which throughout the tournaments remained unbeaten faced no serious resistance from the opponents as PAF thrashed Railways 52-17 while Wapda outclassed Punjab with game score of 43-21.

PAF’s Rader Lala Ubaid and defender Irfan Mana played leading role in victory of their team while for Wapda, Shafiq Chishti, Mohsin and Akmal Dogar exhibited brilliant performance.

In the third match of the day, Rana Atif and Shakeel Jutt guided Army to seal 52-32 victory against HEC while in the last quarter-final of the day, SNGPL taught a kabaddi lesson to Police by defeating it with game score of 50-11.

Imran Bhola and Malik Arshad were main players of SNGPL.

On Friday, Air Force will face SNGPL while Army will be in action against Wapda in the semi-finals.
